We're driven by a bold vision to redefine precision medicine, revolutionize patient care, and ultimately defeat cancer. By combining the power of AI and data science to unlock spatial biophysics, we are on a journey to truly individualize cancer therapy and improve overall patient care.
“Can we do this?”
This is what Joe Peterson and John Cole asked one another in 2017, sitting at a dinette in Champaign Illinois, looking over a grant that was funded by the National Cancer Institute. They had the idea of SimBioSys while working together in a lab at the University of Illinois, and decided, yes, this is possible. Tushar Pandey joined Joe and John shortly after, and the three of them set out to redefine precision cancer care and build SimBioSys into a company that puts patients first.
Since that day in 2017, SimBioSys has grown to over 40 employees, published 40+ papers & abstracts, and partnered with 40+ notable institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, City of Hope, Cleveland Clinic, Cedars Sinai, and University of Chicago Medicine. It is clear that they are truly 'doing this'!

SimBioSys has been lucky to be supported by not only premier healthtech venture capital firms but also globally recognized health systems like Mayo Clinic.
