“I started cancer research because I want to help people. And I understand – to a limited extent – the uncertainty and confusion that comes when you or a loved one is diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness. Two of the first things that come to mind for me are ‘Can this just go away?’ and ‘What happens now?’ At SimBioSys, the work I do empowers patients with precision prognosis and doctors to choose the best possible treatment for each patient.

“When my dad was younger he was a mechanic. He used pressure gauges and sensors to figure out what was wrong with cars. Autoimmune diseases run in my family, and whenever anyone gets sick, he complains and wishes he could ‘pop the hood’ and figure out what’s wrong.
